Industrial robot market exceeds $4 billion

At present, China has become the world's largest market for industrial robots, accounting for about 1/3 of the global market share. With the growth of application requirements and the maturity of key technologies, industrial robots continue to "run" into the workshop. China Institute of Electronics recently released the "2017 China Robot Industry Development Report" which makes a deep analysis on the current domestic robot market size, technical features and main leading enterprises. According to this report, China's robot market size in 2017 reached 6.28 billion US dollars, of which the largest industrial robot market came up to 4.22 billion US dollars.

This year the annual sales of domestic industrial robots is expected to exceed 110,000 units for the first time. And it is expected to increase from the current $ 4.22 billion to $ 5.89 billion by 2020. According to the relevant statistics, from January to July this year, China's industrial robot production is close to 72,000 units, an increase of 57%. In the past five years, the growth rate of industrial robots has remained at more than 20%, which has become an important force in the steady growth of the global robot industry.

In research and development, adhering to the principles of point to area and running with short steps, China will not only seize the advantageous fields to achieve rapid breakthrough but also strengthen the basic research to promote the overall upgrade.
